CIRC is a statewide membership-based coalition of immigrant, labor, interfaith, youth and ally organizations founded in 2002 to build a unified statewide voice to improve the lives of immigrants and refugees in Colorado and the United States.

**Eligibility Criteria:** Available and free to all immigrants and refugees in Colorado State.  
**Application/Intake Process:** There is not an established intake or application process as they are available to all seeking their services. They may request your contact information to get in touch with you, but will not require more private information. Their physical address also accepts walk-ins. If you want an extensive conversation regarding reviewing your citizenship application, they ask that you schedule an appointment ahead of time.  
**Additional Information:** Currently, they do not have any lawyers on staff but have volunteer lawyers who join for events & educational trainings. They have a Legal Services Manager in their office who can assist with regular consultations regarding citizenship applications. Other services offered are: DACA assistance, policy advocacy, education resources, work opportunities, resource navigation, and housing navigation/potential rental assistance resources.

[**Justice and Mercy Legal Aid Center - JAMLAC**](https://jamlac.org/)  
JAMLAC is a faith-based nonprofit that provides culturally sensitive civil legal services to seek justice for the most vulnerable people in our community, struggling with poverty and oppression.

**Services Provided**: Full Civil legal representation, Holistic Advocacy, Family Law Program, Immigration Program, Older Adults Programs, external Pro Bono connections through Legal Workshops/Clinics and the Pro Bono Program for the following cases:

**Eligibility Criteria**: JAMLAC provides services for low-income individuals and families who meet any of the following conditions:  
\- Victims and survivors of abuse or crimes  
\- Older adults  
\- Vulnerable children  
JAMLAC offers services to those who qualify no matter their immigration status, race, religion, sexual orientation or gender.  
Services are available in English and Spanish, and interpretation is available in other languages. They do not take cases regarding: Eviction, asylum, people in detention, deportation, and criminal defense.  
**Application/Intake Process**: Call their number to see if you can get legal aid assistance. JAMLAC does not provide walk-in services so it’s best to reach out via email or phone to see if your case will be eligible for assistance.  
\- Must be seeking immigration, family law, end of life documents, etc  
\- Must be a resident of Colorado state and within the counties they serve  
\- 125% or below the federal income guidelines  
If all yes, they can call 303-839-1008 or email to get started.  
**Additional Information**: Cannot provide full legal representation to all clients due to over-capacity. Doesn’t take cases for:  
\- Cannot take cases that have hearings within 3 weeks due to their intake process timeline  
\- Employment/wage theft cases  
\- Criminal cases  
\- Doesn’t take post-decree cases (cases that have already been made by judges), especially not in family law  
\- Internally, JAMLAC attorneys don’t do Asylum cases, but they will refer Asylum cases to external attorneys through their pro bono clinics.  
\- Doesn’t take eviction cases internally either  
**Wait Time**: It may take about 4-6 weeks until a person knows if they will get representation. The first intake appointment will be with a victim advocate, not with an attorney. This is when you discuss the overview of the case with them and they will relay to their attorneys to see if it’s possible to represent the case. Based on the victim advocate and consultation with an attorney, if it is found they can take the case, you will then get full representation. If you are denied, you will get a letter or email informing you of their decision, the reason why, and then will be offered additional legal resources instead.

[**Clinica Tepeyac - Tepeyac Community Health Center**](https://www.tepeyachealth.org/)  
Tepeyac Community Health Center serves patients regardless of their ability to pay; no one will be denied health services due to financial barriers. We provide an income-based sliding fee schedule based on family size and household income, as well as assistance with insurance coverage applications. All services are sliding scale and will be charged based on the client’s income. Even if the client has no income, they can still receive discounted assistance. Labs can range on average as a $12 co-pay, medical prescriptions can have copays as low as $2 and up to $15 depending on the prescription’s tier level.

**Eligibility Criteria:** The Colorado ID Project is designed to assist low-income, disabled, homeless and elderly *Coloradans* seeking documentation of their identity, immigration, or citizenship status.  
Please note the ID Project does *not* assist with reinstatement of driving privileges or commercial driver’s licenses.  
**Application/Intake Process:** Applicants may apply by phone at 303-837-1313 or online at applyonlinecls.org and we will follow up with each applicant as quickly as staff is able to do so.  
You may complete an application for services in-person. We interview new applicants on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. at our Denver office.

Casa de Paz welcomes/helps individuals who just came into the U.S. such as Asylum seekers and they facilitate their next steps towards reunifications with their loved ones. They also help those who are being released from the ICE detention center in Aurora from M-F and they can provide shelter for them for the time being.

**Hours of Operation:** As soon as someone is released from ICE, our team is there with a warm welcome. They do not know when people are released but are “open” Monday - Friday from 10:30am to 6:30pm.  
**Services Provided:** Casa de Paz welcomes guests who are released from the immigration detention center in Aurora, CO. They provide them a safe temporary space to go to so they can connect with their loved ones and make travel arrangements on to their final destination. Unfortunately, we are not a shelter or a housing facility and we cannot accommodate families or individuals for a long or short period of time. **Eligibility Criteria:** We do not assist people that are *not* released from the detention center in Aurora.  
**Application/Intake Process:** There isn’t a formal intake/application process as they specifically assist clients released from the ICE detention center. They wait and pick up clients whenever they are released and provide services starting from that point.

[**The Immigrant Legal Center of Boulder County**](https://www.boulderayuda.org/index.html)  
The mission of the Immigrant Legal Center of Boulder County is to expand access to reliable legal services for the immigrant community, to educate the immigrant population about U.S. Law and to educate the general public about legal difficulties encountered by immigrants in this country. They also offer private legal consultations related to immigration issues, these services are affordable to clients (especially within Boulder) but prices for *full* assistance vary on a case by case basis.

**Eligibility Criteria:** Ideally provides legal assistance to clients in Boulder county, but they can also provide assistance to clients outside of the Boulder area for a higher fee.  
Prefers for immigrants to reach out by phone to set up a consultation. Fees are based on where clients live. Clients within the city AND county of Boulder will have a $50 initial consultation fee, clients within Boulder county (but outside of the city) will have a $75 initial consultation fee, and clients outside of the Boulder area entirely will have a $100 initial consultation fee.

[**Benefit Recovery Fund (BRF)**](https://ona.colorado.gov/our-work/benefit-recovery-fund)If you are an immigrant worker who recently lost your job, you may be eligible for cash unemployment assistance regardless of immigration status through the Benefits Recovery Fund (BRF). And if approved, clients may be eligible for up to $809/week for 13 weeks.

**Eligibility Criteria:** Cash assistance is available to immigrant clients who’ve recently lost their employment. Specifics of eligibility include:  
\- Live in the state of Colorado  
\- Are 16 years or older at the time of application  
\- Can provide proof of identity (e.g.,unexpired driver’s license, other identity card, non-US passport, etc.)  
\- Left your job through *no fault of your own*  
\- Have a [W-2](https://www.irs.gov/pub/irs-pdf/fw2.pdf) and/or a pay stub that show income earned and taxes withheld (either be in your legal name or in a name that you work under)  
\- Have a valid ITIN or SSN (without work authorization)  
\- No work authorization due to immigration status.   
\- You are only eligible for the Benefit Recovery Fund if you do not have work authorization due to your immigration status.  
**Application/Intake Process:** You can apply online [HERE](https://brf.aidkit.org/apply). Filling out the application on your own is the fastest way to complete it. But, if you need help filling out the entire application (by phone or in-person, depending on your location), you can:  
Request one-on-one help below by creating your BRF account and then select "I'd like assistance." Follow the instructions to submit your request and our support team will contact you within 3 days to set up an appointment.

**Wait Time:** The application takes about 30 minutes if you have all of your required information ready when you begin. You can expect to hear back from us within 8 business days after submission.

If you want an extensive conversation regarding reviewing your citizenship application, they ask that you schedule an appointment ahead of time.  
**Additional Information:** Currently, they do not have any lawyers on staff but have volunteer lawyers who join for events & educational trainings. They have a Legal Services Manager in their office who can assist with regular consultations regarding citizenship applications. Other services offered are: DACA assistance, policy advocacy, education resources, work opportunities, resource navigation, and housing navigation/potential rental assistance resources.

Callers can use the 24-7 hotline either to report ongoing ICE activity or to document a past experience with ICE. If the call is for current activity, trained volunteers will respond at the scene to document the activity and ensure that all those involved know their rights.

\- If an ICE raid is occurring, volunteers will record the event, seek to identify the agents participating, and remind those involved of their constitutional rights.  
\- After the incident, if possible, volunteers will follow up to connect you with a local member of CIRC’s statewide DocuTeam, who will work with you to document the event and refer you to legal resources if necessary.
