EMAP - What do applicants need to start the process?

The Emergency Mortgage Assistance Program (EMAP) is closing its application portal at 5:00 p.m. MST on Tuesday, August 26, 2025. That means after that date, no new applications will be accepted Items previously needed to apply for an EMAP application

Eligible applicants will need the following items:

  • Identification for all household members 18 years or older residing in the home as their primary residence.
  • Evidence of Ownership and Primary Residence (Mortgage Statement)
  • Confirmation of Financial Hardship Due to COVID-19
  • Proof of Income for all household members 18 years or older residing in the home as their primary residence. 
  • Evidence of Amount Due (Mortgage Statement or current bill for other assistance types) 
  • Confirmation that your loan was not a jumbo loan at the time your loan originated (on a case-by-case basis, documentation of your loan origination amount may be requested)
  • Completed Third Party Authorization Form
  • Loss Mitigation may be required to participate in the Program
