# EMAP - Can I apply for the Emergency Mortgage Assistance program if foreclosure is imminent?

No, the Emergency Mortgage Assistance Program is currently closed to new applications as of August 26 2025 at 5p Mountain Standard Time.  All unassigned applications submitted before this deadline will be reviewed in the order they were received, but due to funding availability, not every applicant will receive assistance.

If you have a current Foreclosure document in hand and submitted your application before 8/26/25, please contact the CARE Center by phone at 888-480-0066 or by chat by going to [www.carecenter.us](http://www.carecenter.us/). One of our agents will be happy to assist you Monday through Friday from 8:30 am-5:30 pm.

Please be advised that CARE agents are not reviewers and cannot progress your case or verify eligibility of documents submitted. They can provide you with updates and communication that has been notated on the case by your reviewer.
