Off-Site Storage - St. Francis Center
For individuals looking for storage who do not already have access to a storage space at the Day Center, there are additional spaces available at St. Francis Center’s Off-Site Storage Office. Spaces will be offered on a first-come, first-serve basis, vacant locker spaces are typically claimed quickly once opened so I’d recommend clients come first thing when they open if you want potential access to them.
Service Area: Denver
Street Address: 2314 North Broadway, Denver, CO 80205
Phone Number: 720-957-2665
Hours of Operation:
- Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday: 8am – 4pm (closed for break at 10 am -10:25 am and for lunch 11:45am – 12:30pm) and Wednesday: 8am – 12:45pm
- On the 3rd Wednesday of the month: 8am – 12pm
- Storage access is not yet available on weekends and major holidays
- Last entrance daily is 3:50pm to allow for adequate time.
Eligibility Criteria: For anyone experiencing literal homelessness in Denver county
Application/Intake Process: Clients must visit in-person to claim a locker. Lockers open up once a client no longer needs it, aka has got a housing solution, so vacancy is all dependent on that. Once vacant, lockers cannot be held for a client, it will be claimed by in-person first-come, first-served rules. Clients should bring a form of identification and must be actively homeless.
Additional Information:
- The storage within each locker is about the size of a regular school locker, having about 2 square cubit feet of storage space.
- The only door in use is on Broadway Street.
- All storage is locked.
- All guests will be accompanied by staff while in the building.
- Ten minute time limit by locker.
- Nothing hazardous to public health.
- Everything must fit completely in a closed bag and inside the locker.
- Must update every 30 days.
- No loitering in or around the building.
St. Francis Center themselves also offers storage for 550 people through their Day Center. It is available for homeless guests as long as needed, but must be renewed every 30 days (just like this above off-site storage location). Storage is limited to personal belongings that will fit into a 30-gallon plastic bag. New storage spaces are given out on a first-come, first-served basis daily.
- They also provide a clothing bank within their Day Center, which is also only for actively houseless clients. Access to their clothing program is offered in exchange for performing a cleaning chore. Chores are assigned and performed at specific times each morning, afternoon, and evening
Service Area: While their location is in Denver, they can provide services to anyone residing in the Denver Metro Areas.
Street Address: 846 East 18th Avenue Denver, CO 80218
Phone Number: 303-832-1622 ext 201 for the front desk
Hours of Operation: Open from 7am-2pm Monday through Friday. To join SSS, come in for an intake Monday - Thursday 9am-1pm. Their clothing bank hours are held Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays from 11am-1pm.
Eligibility Criteria: Clients need to be 60 years or older to receive services through SSS. Clients do not need to be homeless to access services either. If they are actively homeless and would like consistent Case Management services though, clients will ideally complete the intake HMIS paperwork in its entirety. But for clients only seeking clothing or food assistance (without follow-up Case Management services), clients will just fill out the basic intake paperwork and skip a majority of the questions associated with the HMIS paperwork.
Application/Intake Process: All new clients must enroll in Senior Support Services’ program. To do so, clients must come in-person to their office and fill out their intake paperwork. Most clients can be seen day-of to meet with a Case Manager, fill out general intake forms (and can fill out more information for HMIS if they also want to receive Case Management services specifically). After that, clients will receive their membership card and can utilize the services offered. If clients are specifically only seeking SSS’ clothing bank, clients can come in-person Monday, Wednesday, or Friday starting at 11am (the clothing bank closes at 1pm) to do this process & get access to it all on the same day.
Additional Information: Clients can receive up to 10 items per month. Hats, socks, and gloves may also be offered depending on availability.
