The wait time varies and each case is different, however, most cases go through an initial review within 3-4 weeks after application submission. Following initial review, an electronic record is sent to your mortgage company. It can take several weeks to receive information back from your mortgage company, and a final determination won’t be made about your application until a response is received from your mortgage company.
If you are requesting utility, HOA, tot rent, property tax, or homeowners insurance assistance, we may be able to provide assistance while we wait for your mortgage servicer to respond with documents we need from them. Especially if you have a shut off notice, we will not need to wait for documents from the mortgage servicer in order to process your request for utility assistance.
