Lifeline Program - TDS Telecommunications
TDS provides a monthly discount on communication services which may include broadband internet, phone (landline or wireless), or bundles to eligible low-income households.

Low-Cost Internet Plan - PCs For People
PCs For People provides a Low-Cost Internet Plan for low-income individuals needing internet connectivity in their households. A modem with unlimited 4G LTE internet service is provided to connect those using this program to the internet.

This program helps people with income at or below 200% of federal poverty guidelines.
Must be below the 200% poverty level or be currently enrolled in an income-based government assistance program.

Services Provided: Utility Assistance, Food Security, Housing Navigation, Clothing ​
Eligibility Criteria: The Action Center offers self-select groceries to community members who are in need at no cost. No identification, income verification, or documentation is needed. Rent or Deposit Assistance OPEN TO JEFFCO RESIDENTS ONLY.
Application/Intake Process: Must schedule a consultation from the website (appointments can be made HERE) or by going to their location​. Utility Assistance is provided through Energy Outreach Colorado. 


Family Tree Homelessness Program
The Family Tree Homelessness Program provides housing navigation and comprehensive support services to those experiencing homelessness and those at-risk of homelessness. The program promotes safe and stable individuals, families and youth through self-sufficiency and affordable housing programs.

Application/Intake Process: Eagles' Nest Early Learning Center is a licensed, non-profit childcare center located in Gilpin County dedicated to providing high quality childcare for infants, toddlers, and preschoolers. Eagles Nest is the only licensed center for infants and toddlers.

PorchLight - A Family Justice Center
PorchLight Family Justice Center (FJC) provides comprehensive legal, emotional and critical supportive services for survivors of domestic violence, sexual assault, child abuse, abuse of at-risk individuals, elder abuse, and human trafficking. The center is centrally located in Jefferson County, Colorado.

Services Provided: Case Management, DV services and support, housing navigation, legal advocacy, mental health support
Eligibility: This service is for people experiencing DV or seeking support to escape DV.
Application/Intake process: No appointment required, just go into their location to received a multiple of support through their partnered agencies which work on site. If you're unable to go directly to their location, you can call their number for services and be referred to their partnered advocates for resources that will be most applicable for you.
Additional Information:
Porchlight can take any client who is experiencing or escaping from domestic violence, despite being located in Jefferson County. The only difference in services is that Jefferson County residents are able to get assistance with their Jefferson court documents/records through FJC while residents outside of the Jefferson area would need to go to their local court instead.
Wait Time: None. Walk in services are available.


 

Employment:

Career Training Program - CrossPurpose
Our tuition-free, six-month career training program aims to empower individuals in Denver to develop the personal and professional skills that they need to succeed in the workplace. We offer a variety of career certification and pre-apprenticeship tracks to provide a wide selection of career opportunities.

Colorado Division of Vocational Rehabilitation (DVR)

Eligibility Criteria: Must have a documented disability (a DVR counselor can discuss what disabilities meet their eligibility criteria) and be seeking employment assistance.  Note of the disabilities shown on the options to select for the Online Request form, disabilities such as these (see below) are considered meeting DVR disability criteria:

Application/Intake Process: A new DVR client must first complete the DVR Online Request for Services form on their website. After submitting the form, a DVR staff member will contact you within 5 business days to schedule a remote or in-person meeting to complete your application. If they are not able to reach you within 15 business days of submission, your request will be closed, and you may contact us again when you are ready to move forward.​
Wait time: 5-15 business days to set up initial intake meeting with a DVR counselor

Services Provided: Employment​, Job development (3 month training session - free through DVR), Job placement (can provide direct Full-time/Part-time employment opportunities), Situational Assessment & Benefits counseling (aka discuss Social Security benefits, SNAP benefits, state Medicaid - and provide insight on how client's current benefits may be affected by getting employment).
Eligibility Criteria: Must meet CO DVR's "documented disability" criteria. Call Colorado's Division of Vocational Rehabilitation (DVR) directly to confirm if your disability meets their criteria.​
Application/Intake Process: ServiceSource receives all referrals through the Division of Vocational Rehabilitation (Colorado DVR). Clients must first reach out to DVR to get referred to ServiceSource. If you're a new client with DVR, you must complete DVR's intake form on their website, to which it will take up to 2 weeks for a DVR Counselor to set up an initial intake with you. During this intake, they can establish if your disability meets requirements to receive DVR’s and DVR’s partners’ services. If you are found eligible, then you can then be referred to ServiceSource for employment assistance.​
Wait time: 2 weeks for initial intake.

Services Provided: Transportation​ for seniors 55+
Eligibility Criteria:  
- Volunteers support older adults ages 55+ in Denver, Jefferson, Larimer, Mesa, and parts of Douglas, Arapahoe, Adams and Broomfield Counties.
- Individual lives in an area serviced by A Little Help Individual has a permanent residence,
- Individual has needs that fall within the scope of A Little Help’s services.
- Individual is able to verbally communicate by oneself over the phone or by email​
Application/Intake Process:
Application can be completed online or by phone. Once submitted, you will receive a call within 10 business days from our Membership Team to discuss your application.​
Additional Information:
- They request at least 5 business days’ notice for transportation requests. They can typically accommodate one ride per household per week.
- Transportation requests should be fewer than 8 miles one-way.
- Little Help helps seniors maintain good health and a high quality of life by providing round-trip transportation to health-related outings, grocery stores, and to social engagements.
