PCs For People provides a Low-Cost Internet Plan for low-income individuals needing internet connectivity in their households. A modem with unlimited 4G LTE internet service is provided to connect those using this program to the internet.

Latimer House Program - HilltopProviding domestic violence and sexual assault services for anyone in Western Colorado including Mesa, Montrose, Delta and Ouray Counties. We offer emergency safe house, counseling, advocacy, and 24 hour crisis lines.

Emergency Shelter - Hilltop
Emergency Shelter offers a safe shelter, food, clothing and case management to adult victims of domestic violence and their children.

Services Provided: Transitional Housing, Food Security, offers a one-year transitional housing program for families with children who are homeless or at risk of being homeless.
Eligibility Criteria: Medicaid Recipients and/or homeless or at risk of homelessness
Application/Intake Process: It is required that each adult fill out an application (including partners or spouses). All adults must submit a valid Driver’s License or State ID with their application. Each adult is required to work 40 hours, and that can include working and going to school. Each adult is also required to attend mandatory classes once a month, these include credit counseling, budget counseling and life skills. Once in our program, a caseworker is assigned to the family to assist with our requirements. Our program aims to provide skills for families to become self-sufficient.

Wait time: The application process itself can take anywhere from 3-4 weeks. The waitlist for housing varies; it can be anywhere from 4 to 6 months. It depends on the size of the family and what units are available.
Grand Junction Community Homeless - HomewardBound
HomewardBound provides the only year-round homeless shelters between Denver and Salt Lake City that accommodate single adults, families with children, people with disabilities and military veterans. In addition to the above services, we also provide onsite healthcare, vocational training, day shelter, and free access to necessities like blankets, clothing and toiletries!

Additional Information: Offers day center. People complete an Intake when they are new at the shelter. From that on they are connected with services needed that are all sitting at the same area.

Eligibility Criteria: If your income is up to 60% of the state median income level, you may qualify for heating assistance through LEAP. The state median income level used for the 2023-24 LEAP season was released by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services in July 2023. The amount of the energy assistance benefit varies depending on a variety of factors, including the primary heating fuel costs and income.
Application/Intake Process: The 2023-24 LEAP season is now open. Applications are accepted until April 30, 2024.
