EMAP - What can EMAP assist me with?
The Emergency Mortgage Assistance Program (EMAP) closed its application portal at 5:00 p.m. MST on Tuesday, August 26, 2025. That means after that date, no new applications will be accepted. All unassigned applications submitted before this deadline will be reviewed in the order they were received, but due to funding availability, not every applicant will receive assistance.
If you applied before 8/26/25 and funding is still available, the Emergency Mortgage Assistance Program is designed to help eligible Colorado homeowners keep their homes by assisting with:
- Mortgage assistance (not required to be delinquent)
- Homeowner or Condominium association fees or liens
- Homeowner’s utilities (including gas, electric, water, sewer, and solar) *EMAP does not assist with internet
- Payment assistance for delinquent property taxes (not included in mortgage payment)
- Homeowner’s insurance payment assistance (not included in mortgage payment)
- Chattel loan assistance (for owner-occupied mobile homes)
