I am looking for rental assistance. What are my options?

Rental assistance is available through state and local agencies. Please note there are separate applications. As of April 2024, there are several options available:

(1) State rental assistance: The Colorado Department of Local Affairs has rental assistance available through the Temporary Rental Assistance Grant (TRAG) for Coloradans who have fallen behind on their rent, meet income limits and other qualifying factors, and are at risk of eviction or displacement.

There are designated monthly pre-application periods for rental assistance that typically opens on the 15th of the month. After this period, applicants are randomly selected to submit a full application. Please visit the State website for details and dates.

(2) Denver rental assistance: If you are a Denver County resident, you may also qualify for rent, utility, and relocation assistance through Denver’s Temporary Rental and Utility Assistance (TRUA) Program. Apply here.
